Hi Friends!

My Name is Katie Carrico and I’m the owner/baker of the Mollie Rose. After graduating from the California School of Culinary Arts in Pasadena in 2006, I went on to work in various restaurants and bakeries in Orange County and Los Angeles County. In 2020, like so many other people in the world, I found myself without a job due to COVID-19. And that’s where the Mollie Rose began.

Why Mollie Rose? Well, in September of 2000, my sister Mollie passed away unexpectedly in a car accident. When I was thinking of a name for the bakery, it was the only one that made sense. It’s short and sweet and it reminds me that she’s with me every day. I like to believe there’s a little bit of both of us in each and every cake and cookie that I make. Hopefully that’s not too creepy for you.
